A date with the trainer

I have my second round with my trainer tonight. Heres hoping I am not too sore tomorrow.

On a side note I just found out about this wonderful stuff called Quinoa. It is so yummy and you can make it sweet or savory. Pure protein form a grain!

Good for me!

I can honestly say that since I started my fitness journey last Monday I have been to the gym every day with the exception of Sunday. Sunday was gorgeous but for a change rather than sitting on the couch with the cat and a book I was outside on the side of a hill picking high bush cranberries. Being able to go outside and walk up and down the hill and not be so out of breath after only a week is phenomenal. I may be tooting my own horn a bit but toot toot. I actually got off my lazy butt and made an effort and I really enjoyed it too. I am kind of looking forward to the gym after work now. What a change!

Day 2 - trainer

Day 2 on my journey. I met with my personal trainer today and I LOVE HER. She is so dead on with my goals and she used to be really overweight. We did some weight training today and then I knocked out some cardio. We went over my diet and discussed what types of foods I can eat and that I need to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day. Only bummer I have to try to cut down on my coffee. That will be harder than the exercise but I am dedicated and am pushing forward.

Fitness Day 1

Just a quick background, I have lost and kept off 60 pounds thanks to www.affordablehcgdiet.com and tons of inches. I moved into phase 4 on Monday. If you don't know about the HCG diet I suggest you take a look at the above website. There are 4 phases, 1 loading days (yummy BTW) 2 low calorie days, 3 maintenance phase and 4 life!

I decided it was time to get back to everyday life no more watching calories and taking drops time to move onto exercise, toning and fitness. So I bit the bullet and joined a gym. Like many overweight people I had joined other gyms before with no success, but this time I have a secret weapon........My 14 year old daughter. She is like a dog with a ball :) She is keeping me motivated and since Monday I have been every day. I know I know its only been 4 days but that's a HUGE accomplishment for me, the always overweight Id rather lay on the couch with a book than do anything else girl.

Also a contributing factor to my success this time is I hired a personal trainer. She gets to start torturing me on Friday. I meat with the fitness manager tonight for my fitness review before I start the actual torture. So far I have been doing some cardio and the 30 minute circuit at the Alaska Club here locally with the help of the fitness experts. I am actually excited to go to the gym, shocker right? I will post successes and any trade secrets I find out.
